Principals from various village schools in the Kavango West Region say the donation of a classroom block by NAMDIA has significantly improved the atmosphere at their schools. 

G4S Namibia says that a lawsuit filed by NAMDIA is vague and lacks sufficient detail to assess the alleged loss.

According to court papers, on January 18, an unknown group entered the NAMDIA premises and stole 446 parcels of diamonds valued at N$314 million.

Three men charged in connection with the NAMDIA robbery will return to the Windhoek Magistrate's Court tomorrow.

Sam Shololo, Joel Angula, and Samuel Shipanga face charges of robbery with aggravating circumstances, murder, attempted murder, and unlawful possession of unpolished diamonds.

NAMDIA has confirmed that packages of diamonds recovered by police earlier this year were officially declared, following public calls for clarity by Associate Professor Job Amupanda. 

The Keetmanshoop Magistrate's Court has postponed the bail application hearing of Chairmaine Cloete, one of the three suspects facing charges of contravening the Prevention of Organised Crime and illicit trafficking of goods under the Diamond Act, next week Tuesday. 

The Namibian Police have said that another suspect is yet to be arrested, believed to be linked to the January 18 NAMDIA robbery.

The suspect is a security officer at NAMDIA.

Deputy Inspector General of NamPol, Anna-Marie Nainda, has clarified that the two individuals arrested in the southern part of Namibia have not been linked to the January 18 NAMDIA robbery.

Nainda said that, at this point, the arrests are considered independent.
