Commonwealth meeting kicks off

The Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), commenced at Buckingham Palace in London, United Kingdom, to discuss Queen Elizabeth II's successor. President Hage Geingob is among the 46 heads of government attending the two-day meeting. The other attendees are foreign affairs ministers. Speaking at the opening ceremony, the monarch said the bloc is "growing stronger year by year". The Queen noted that Commonwealth must continue to offer stability and continuity to future generations, while hinting that the Prince of Wales, Prince Charles, could be next in line to lead the Commonwealth. The meeting is to discuss this matter and make an announcement on Friday. Other issues to be discussed include ocean conservation, cyber security and trade.
