Former army commander, major-general Thomas Nghilifavali Hamunyela was denied bail in the Rundu Magistrate's Court where he appeared on stock theft charges on Wednesday. The retired major-general is accused of stealing five cattle, three oxen and two cows at Mburundu Village in Kavango West, valued at N$29 000.
