Major-General Joseph Shikongo has been appointed as Inspector-General of the Namibian Police Force. Major General Shikongo is the current Deputy Inspector General of Operations. President Hage Geingob announced the appointment of Major-General Joseph Shikongo as the Inspector-General of the Namibian Police Force. Incoming Inspector-General of the Namibian Police Force Major-General Joseph Shikongo signs his appointment letter at the handing-over ceremony held this afternoon at State House. Major-General Shikongo's appointment is effective from the 1st of September. Shikongo's name was nominated alongside the Deputy Inspector-General, Major-General Anne Marie Nainda and Presidential Security Chief, Commissioner Johan Ndjaronguru.
