Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Water and Forestry, Anna Shiweda said the outbreak of locusts is a cause for concern and as a remedy, casual workers have been recruited to spray the pest. Shiweda was responding to a question by Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) Member of Parliament (MP), Jan Van Wyk, who wanted to know the ministry's plan to contain the spread of the locust.
