People with disabilities this morning marched to the head office of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare, in Windhoek. They handed over a petition to Deputy Minister for Disability Affairs, Alexia Manombe-Ncube and the acting minister, Bernadette Jagger. The group has petitioned the ministry to oppose any attempt at discrimination based on disability and for the ministry to ensure the rights of those living with disabilities are protected.
