President Hage Geingob has sent a congratulatory message to his Indonesian counterpart, Joko Widodo on that country's 75th independence anniversary. Geingob said Indonesia is the birthplace of Afro-Asian cooperation, following the Bandung conference of 1955. He reaffirmed Namibia's commitment to pursue greater trade and investment between the two countries. President Geingob paid an official visit to the South-east Asian country in 2018, on invitation by Widodo.
