Striking employees of Shoprite, Checkers and U-Save have condemned the continuous hiring of temporary workers to carry out their duties at these outlets. The decision, NAFAU says, contravenes provisions of the Labour Act, which prohibits companies from hiring part-time employees to do the work of striking employees.
