The World Mission Society of God Young Adult Workers Volunteer group held its environmental clean-up campaign in the Havana Informal settlement in Windhoek.

More than 40 young adults gathered to participate in the ASEZ WAO volunteer activity.

The group picked up trash amounting to 50kg.

The leader of the ASEZ WAO group, Hendrick Munepapa emphasized the importance of young adults taking part in such initiatives.

"Being part of the people that are making sure the earth is cleaned and that the earth is well maintained, I'm very joyful to participate in a clean-up campaign today. I also wish that everyone has the same love and the same heart to support and participate in this clean-up campaign so that only then we can give our sincere love to all the people as one family".

The awareness is to let people know in order for us to continue living a healthy lifestyle, or in order for us to be healthy not just physically on our own bodies, we need to live in a clean sustainable environment, a clean sustainable environment means we have good plants, it means we have good land, it means we have a clean environment.

ASEZ WAO is expected to host an environmental forum to raise awareness about climate change at the Khomas Regional Council tomorrow.
