In response to these concerns, the minister has initiated regional consultations to develop concrete intervention strategies aimed at improving performance at all educational levels.

Nghipondoka acknowledged that despite the ministry's extensive efforts to address education outcomes, there are persistent root causes that present significant challenges.

She highlighted the issue of inadequate classrooms, resulting in overcrowding in certain schools, particularly in urban areas.

The targeted annual funding for the rehabilitation and construction of classrooms remains a priority to alleviate this problem.

The shortage of teaching and learning resources ranked second on the minister's list of concerns, primarily due to the lack of tools and equipment.

Nghipondoka emphasised the importance of efficiently utilising education staff by ensuring they are correctly placed in fields of specialisation.

She emphasised that prioritisation should be based on the best interests of the learners, ensuring that learning is meaningful and rewarding.
