The Prime Ministers of the Netherlands and Denmark are in the country for a joint working visit.

Mark Rutte and Mette Frederiksen are currently meeting at the State House with President Hage Geingob and other senior officials.

The joint visit is expected to present the three countries with a great opportunity to strengthen dialogue on global challenges and opportunities as well as widen and deepen coordinated and genuine partnerships.

Since the discovery of oil and the promotion of green hydrogen as part of the energy transition have drawn the world's attention to Namibia, the State House says the country looks forward to working with Denmark.

This is because Denmark's strategy pushes for the production and use of green hydrogen in sectors like shipping and aviation, as well as heavy transport and industry.
