After three decades of providing service to the Namibian people, the American Cultural Centre Library in Windhoek shut its doors with a colourful farewell.

The farewell aims at celebrating the US-Namibia relationship built through access to information and training.

The library, which was located in the Windhoek CBD's Sanlam Building, has been a source of information for many in the past years, both through books for leisure or academic reading and computer usage.

US Ambassador to Namibia, Randy Berry, says programmes that were offered at the library will be moved to the new site once it is ready.

Those who benefited from the American Cultural Centre Library say the Centre has been a pillar to the community and has made significant contributions both at the personal and professional levels.
