The Global Gateway Forum has made several key announcements about investing in clean energy transitions in various African countries.
These include the €146 million for the construction of the Kakono hydropower plant in Tanzania and the €20.4 million for the Green and Blue Pact in Comoros to boost that country’s environmental and food resilience.
On Tuesday, the roadmap for the EU-Namibia strategic partnership on sustainable raw material value chains and renewable hydrogen was endorsed and is backed by €1 billion in investments by the EU, its member states, and European financial institutions.

The Namibian leader was among the more than 40 high-level representatives, financial institutions, and businesses that discussed investment needs, encouraged debates, and made new deals beneficial to all parties.
