The Swapo Party Vice President, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, says the party has successfully conducted its 2023 rallies, the last one being in the Oshana Region.

The closing rally at Oshakati was attended by scores of party members adorned in blue, red, and green.

It has been an eventful year for the party as it canvassed for a larger support base meant to retain its position as the governing party in next year's national elections.

In her address, Swapo Party Vice President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah applauded members for rallying behind her and the party, citing that unity of purpose is fundamental to attaining victory.

"I have seen a jubilee and how people love this party, Swapo. People love Swapo, and people will always love Swapo. Swapo Party just has to do what is right, and we know what is right, and what is right is to make sure that everything we do is done in the best interest of our people."

She implored party members to canvass for support both in urban and rural areas if the party was to retain its two-thirds majority.

Nandi-Ndaitwah was also quick to remind them to serve the people who voted them into power.

"As party members, it is our responsibility to deliver quality service. You will be surprised if some of those people involved are not true Swapo members. True Swapo members believe in solidarity, and you cannot cheat when you believe in solidarity. So, comrades, let's not betray the people who trust us."

Party members and supporters were reminded to ensure that they register to vote next year.
