The High Court has cemented a significant ruling, finalising an order that specifically prohibits the Namibia Economic Freedom Fighters (NEFF), along with its President, Deputy President Kalimbo Iipumbu, and NEFF member Michael Amushelelo, from participating in any unlawful activities at Rani Traders and several other retail outlets.

This decision by Judge Shafimane Ueitele follows an interim order issued on December 22nd last year and was ultimately finalised last Friday.

The respondents in the case, the NEFF and its supporters, its President Epaphuras Mukwiilongo, and functionaries Kalimbo Ipumbu and Michael Amushelelo, are restrained from acting illegally by demanding the closure of the retail premises of Rani Trading and its affiliates.

They are also stopped from issuing threats against the employees of the Rani Group, and they are also interdicted from issuing threats of violence against the employees.

The order also prevents the group from engaging in any unlawful industrial action or unlawful protests, intimidation, harassment, or unlawful disruption of the business affairs of the Rani Group.

Judge Uietele also ruled that NEFF and its members and supporters, as well as Mukwiilongo, Iipumbu, and Amushelelo, are restrained and interdicted from coming within 200 metres of any of the Rani Group's retail premises.

The respondents have been ordered to pay the legal costs, while the matter is now regarded as finalised and removed from the court roll.
