It was through his humility that people knew who he was.
That is how the Namibian community in the United Kingdom described the late President Hage Geingob during a memorial service held in his honour in London on Saturday.
The service was organised by Namibia's High Commission to the United Kingdom.
The Namibian community, joined by diplomats and friends of the late President in the UK, remembered him for excelling in any task assigned to him, be it national or international.
However, it is his larger-than-life personality and humility that the mourners say are attributes that ensured that he built trust, relating to every individual he met in all spheres.
High Commissioner Linda Scott and other speakers all shared personal insights into the life and legacy of the late Namibian leader.
