As the family of the late President Geingob continues to receive condolences and tributes, the Ovambanderu community, led by Eben Nguvauva, also extended its condolences to the former First Lady and the late President's family.
Nguvauva says the president's death was painful and shocking to them.
"My community and I are here to express our condolences for the passing of the late President, whom we consider the father of the nation. His death was deeply painful and shocking to us, and I personally had a sense of foreboding on the day he passed. We have gathered here to pay our respects along with the rest of the nation and to convey a message of support to Madam Monica Geingos. In our community, we have a saying that advises accepting what cannot be changed, and so we are here to offer our condolences. We are mourning alongside the nation and remembering the late president for his contributions to our community, for which we feel blessed."
