The Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair (OATF) fundraising dinner raised N$1.3 million.
The 23rd edition will attract both local and international businesses and corporations.
Mobile Telecommunications Company has become the official sponsor of the Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair, pumping in N$350,000.
Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (nbc) pledged radio and television airtime worth N$400,000, while Standard Bank Namibia will inject N$250,000.
Ongwediva Mayor Taarah Shalyefu says the trade fair remains a blueprint in the town's developmental agenda to create a network between local and international businesses.
"It has facilitated networking opportunities amongst businesses; it has exposed entrepreneurs to small and medium business enterprises to markets. And a gala dinner like this one helps us to serve as a window of opportunities and a career guide to students, learners, and the youth."
Namdia's Chief Executive Officer, Annalisa Amupolo, says there is a critical need to innovate and capitalise on economic growth through sustainable business ideas.
The Oshana Governor, Elia Irimari, also launched a bull competition.
This year's edition will run from August 23–31.
