National Council Chairperson Lukas Muha welcomed a delegation from Zambia's Parliamentary Committee on Privileges and Absences, led by First Deputy Speaker and Chairperson of the Committee, Malungo A. Chisangano, who is on a study visit in Namibia focused on strengthening bilateral ties and exchanging parliamentary practices.

Muha highlighted the historical ties between the two countries, dating back to Namibia's liberation struggle, during which Zambia provided crucial support. He emphasised the visit's significance in fortifying the longstanding relationship between the nations and their legislative bodies.

"This visit marks a significant milestone in the relationship between our two nations and legislative houses," said Muha.

The Zambian delegation will participate in discussions and, if time permits, observe parliamentary sessions in the country. These interactions are designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of Namibian parliamentary procedures, potentially offering valuable insights into the Zambian context.

"We are eager to share our experiences and learn from the innovations and practices you have implemented in your Parliament.”
