Just as is with every eligible voter, journalists too want to exercise their rights and heeded the call to register.

The media are essential to democracy and act as a crucial watchdog to democratic elections, safeguarding the transparency of the process.

They provide voters with the information to formulate their own opinions, allowing them to participate in matters that affect them.

Journalists too, however, have equal rights to vote and come November 27th, they will be chasing polling stations and competing to speak to that one first voter in the queue.

Some journalists of the national broadcasters were, however, worried that although they have registered, they may not have the time to cast their vote.
