The International University of Management (IUM) is planning to inaugurate its campus at Eenhana in the Ohangwena Region on October 20th.
The campus, which is nearing completion, is part of the university's goals to spread its wings for regional development.
The full academic programme of the regional campus will commence in January next year.
The Director of Marketing, Corporate Communication, and Public Relations at IUM, Gerry Munyama, says with the new campus, IUM aims to transform and make education accessible to all.
"The International University of Management is set to unveil the fifth state-of-the-art campus in Eenhana, Namibia. This significant expansion highlights IUM's dedication to equipping every Namibian with the critical skills and knowledge needed to actively shape and lead a shared economy."
The Deputy Mayor of Eenhana, Selma Kawiwa, commented on the IUM leadership for bringing education closer to communities.
"The people of Ohangwena are mostly the youth and are eager to emulate this opportunity and register for any course of your choice; this alleviates accommodation problems and transport for our students from different regions, most especially Oshana, Ohangwena, Omusati, and Oshikoto. When they go to Windhoek, it will be a problem for their accommodation and transport; that was one of the alleviations."
