The Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security launched its "Ministerial Customer Service Charter" under the theme "Serving With Excellence."
The charter outlines the Ministry's commitment as civil servants to work closely with its customers and provides insights into how the Ministry functions.
Last year, the ministry was not among the top-performing ministries, with a rating of 45%.
According to Executive Director Etienne Maritz, the Ministry had customer service charters within its departments, but they were not uniformly applied, and staff were not fully capacitated to implement them effectively.
In April of this year, the Ministry improved its standing, rising to 6th place in public service performance with a significantly better rating of 72%.
Now, with the launch of its first-ever "Ministerial Customer Service Charter," Maritz stated that the Ministry is committed to further enhancing its service delivery and ensuring excellence in every interaction.
