Namibia and Botswana will begin with a trial of the operationalisation of the Mamuno and Trans Kalahari One Stop Border Post as of this Monday.

The trial aims to test the efficiency and functionality of the One Stop Border Post regarding the effectiveness of the new systems designed to smoothen the facilitation of travellers.

The two countries look to enhance their cross-border processes by interfacing their customs clearance systems to allow the exchange of data and conduct pre-clearance and itemisation of transit cargo declarations.
