The O&L Group held a workplace seminar in partnership with the University of Namibia (UNAM) as part of their ongoing talent attraction initiative.

The seminar took place at the Namibia Dairies Manufacturing Plant, where the importance of industry-academic partnerships in shaping a skilled and motivated workforce for Namibia's future was underlined.

The purpose of the seminar was to showcase the O&L Group and UNAM's commitment to nurturing future talent and innovation.

Food Science students from UNAM were given a tour of the manufacturing plant to gain an understanding of the production and packaging processes.

This allowed students to witness the practical aspect of food production for them to apply it to their studies and careers.

Communications Manager of O&L, Victoria Moller, emphasised that it is vital to bridge the gap between theoretical and practical knowledge.

"Obviously, as a student, once you learn the knowledge, we want to showcase to you what it's like to be in operation. And this is what the purpose of what today was. Showcasing to these students what it's like, and by doing so, you can actually open up the whole new world and show them what the possibilities are."

She added that the initiative is true to their core persona of being authentic and passionate about youth empowerment and innovation.

The students expressed their gratitude to the O&L group for the opportunity.
