Swapo Party Vice President has called on party members to make use of the party's election manifesto when campaigning.
Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah stressed that campaigning messages should at all times align with the manifesto, as this is the document that they will be held accountable against if elected into power.
"To make sure that this manifesto is fully implemented come 2030, an implementation action plan will be developed with a monitoring and evaluation plan to be put in place, and we have to make sure it is enforced."
The party's manifesto promises to not compromise on quality service delivery.
"Thus the manifesto is clear on corruption and zero tolerance in our nation, and it should not be allowed as it is very counterproductive. We must be a nation driven by accountability, and anyone entrusted with public services should know they are doing it on behalf of everyone, so it should not be business as usual."
Decent living, land delivery, housing, improved sanitation, promotion of sustainable urban development, access to quality healthcare, and improving service and public health facilities are but some of the priorities.
"Expecting mothers will have access to an antenatal clinic; the Namibian child has to be born in the presence of a qualified midwife or a doctor. Our government has invested a lot in health over the years, and we are not yet done until we reach our target, which is to ensure that our people have access to health. We will urgently speed up the implementation of universal health coverage."
The manifesto will also pay attention to quality education and the installation of digital tools to prepare learners for a technology-based education.
Operations of the Namibia Student Financial Assistance Fund will also be enhanced to timely respond to the needs of the beneficiaries and increase funding intake for postgraduates.
