Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel says Cuba has the political will to continue expanding, strengthening, and consolidating relations with Namibia.

Speaking during a meeting with visiting Chairperson of Namibia's National Council, Lukas Muha, Diaz-Canel said it is very important for Cuba to strengthen the historical relations between the two countries.

The Cuban President recalled his two visits to Namibia, during which he held multiple meetings, including a meeting with the late President Hage Geingob.

Diaz-Canel pointed out that Cuba and Namibia share an excellent relationship with strong political and diplomatic ties that are supported by parliamentarians.

Muha is in Cuba to take part in an International Seminar on Parliamentary Diplomacy that ended in Havana on Thursday.

He pointed out that Namibians will always be grateful to the Cuban people for their support during Namibia's struggle for liberation. Muha also held talks with the President of Cuba's Parliament, Esteban Lazo.
