The Swapo Party celebrated the official nomination of Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah as a presidential candidate in the November 27 elections.
The announcement was made during a media briefing attended by the party members to celebrate "a historic moment," as Nandi-Ndaitwah is the first female candidate fielded by the party.
Shaningwa said that Nandi-Ndaitwah's nomination marks a significant turning point in the party’s journey as it prepares for the next chapter in Namibian politics.
"The announcement of Nandi-Ndaitwah as the party’s official presidential candidate is seen as a reflection of the party’s commitment to progress and a vision for the country’s future," said Shaningwa.
The media briefing was not just a moment of celebration but a reaffirmation of the Swapo Party's readiness for the challenges ahead.
"With the nomination officially secured, the party’s focus now shifts to the upcoming campaign, where Nandi-Ndaitwah’s leadership will be crucial in shaping the party’s vision for Namibia’s future," Shaningwa added.
