President Nangolo Mbumba is in Cape Town, South Africa, to engage in discussions with President Cyril Ramaphosa.

The leaders went into talks this afternoon aimed at strengthening economic ties and addressing shared regional priorities.

Namibia and South Africa, as key trading partners, will explore ways to enhance cooperation within the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and Southern African Customs Union (SACU).

The official visit will give Namibia a platform to engage on issues of national interest and concern. The Presidency said Namibia and South Africa are important trading partners, both in terms of exports and imports.

Furthermore, both countries are members of SADC and the Southern African Customs Union, SACU.

President Mbumba returns tomorrow.
