Members of the Namibian Parliament spent the week participating in the World Parliamentary Forum against Fascism and Neo-Fascism.
The Forum took place in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela.
The National Council delegation at the Forum consisted of Swapo Party MPs Johannes Karondo and Rocco Nguvauva, as well as Helaria Mukapuli, a Swapo Party MP in the National Assembly.
Some of the topics addressed at the event are parliamentary democracy for peace; the relationship between imperialism, fascism, and Zionism; blockades imposed on several countries; and the defence of human rights, among others.
"It is really a bad experience that certain countries are dominating others based on their will on their expenses, and this is hampering the economies at large of different countries, so with this initiative in Venezuela, we are looking forward to all the countries that are going through the same experience to stand together and unite for their neoliberal arrangements."
Representatives from over 70 countries participated in the event.
