Miss Australia was named Miss Earth 2024 at the just-ended event in the Philippines.
Namibia's representative, Albertina Haimbala, was also part of the last 12 finalists.
A beaming Haimbala was among 78 beauties vying for the title under the theme "Heritage."
Haimbala's national costume for Miss Earth 2024 was a cheetah, with Namibia housing the largest population of wild cheetahs in the world.
She thanked Namibians for the backing.
"Hello Namibia, this is your top 12 contender. Miss Earth, I just want to say thank you so much for your support. You are the reason I made it this far. Being in the top 12 is a big deal for us, as Namibia is a small country that comes to pageantry. But I am really proud of us. The win was amazing. I loved every moment of it. I can't wait to come back home and share my experiences with all of you."
She had a word of advice for future Miss-Namibia applicants.
"For future Miss Namibia applicants, do it now; the time is now. You have to apply now. You have to start getting ready now. With these awards, this is a lifetime opportunity. and you won't regret it, as the Miss Namibia organisation is the best right now."
She appreciated the support from the Miss Namibia Organisation, describing her Miss Earth journey as stress-free.
Miss Namibia Organisation's CEO, Umbi Karuaihe-Upi, and Public Relations Manager, Beaulah Boois-Beukes, were Haimbala's cheerleaders at the glitzy event.
Haimbala is expected to be back home on Monday.
