More than one hundred police officers from the Zambezi Region were conferred promotions from constable, sergeant, and warrant officer to sergeant class one and two, warrant officer class one and two, and inspector to the nearest rank.

Zambezi Police Regional Commander Commissioner Andreas Shilelo conferred the promotions on behalf of the Inspector General.

In congratulating the promoted officers, Shilelo stressed that they are now entrusted with greater responsibilities, requiring them to act differently as seniors and commanders of certain units.

Commissioner Shilelo encouraged the police officers to pursue further studies in order to excel in higher positions of responsibility within the force.

He also directed that no dockets should pile up at the police station; investigations must be finalized promptly, and dockets should be handed over to the judiciary.

Additionally, he emphasized that, with the festive season underway, there should be no compromises during festive operations.
