Good Friday is a day of deep reflection for Christians around the world. It is a time to remember the suffering, sacrifice, and love of Jesus Christ, who gave his life for humanity.

Although it is called Good Friday, the day itself was filled with pain. But for believers, it bought the promise of new life.

Good Friday marks the day when Jesus Christ was crucified.

According to the Bible, Jesus was nailed to a cross and died at Calvary as part of God's plan to save the world from sin.

In Windhoek and other parts of the country, some churches held special services with some believers wearing black to symbolise mourning, and others fasted, sang hymns, or read the scriptures that speak of the story of Jesus' suffering.

Spiritual leaders indicate that the cross that Jesus was nailed to not only symbolises death but is also a reminder of love, forgiveness, and hope.
