Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare announced on X that approximately 4,310 young people are being recruited into the public sector across all 14 regions.
He said these recruitments are in line with governments' efforts to tackle youth unemployment.
He detailed that the Namibian Correctional Service (NCS) has already welcomed 278 graduates, with 450 more set to start on 1 August 2025.
The Namibian Defence Force (NDF) is currently recruiting 1,800 personnel, while 1,782 graduates joined the Namibian Police Force (NAMPOL) on 23 May 2025.
Ngurare said that job creation and service delivery will be at the heart of the 2025/2026 National Budget, which is expected to be signed by President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah this week.
