The High Court has set aside a no-confidence vote motion, which led to the removal of three Swapo Party Councillors in the ||Kharas Regional Council.
The court ruling stems from a legal challenge instituted by councillors Lazarus Nangolo, Tami Amakali, and Suzan Ndjaleka, whose council membership was terminated through a vote of no confidence motion on 27 March this year.
The vote of confidence motion, tabled by Councillor Willem Labuschagne, alleged that the trio absconded from council meetings and refused to accept vacant council 'management committee positions.
Respondents cited in the matter include the ||Kharas Regional Council, Chairperson Joseph Isaack, and the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development.
