The |Khomas Region's Moses ||Garoëb Constituency has donated 100 blankets to the elderly and vulnerable people.

The donation is part of the winter safety-net project, which aims to showcase the development initiatives to improve the living conditions of the elderly and the needy.

Moses ||Garoëb Councillor, Stefanus Ndengu, said that although the winter season is almost over, the donation is an expression of care.

"I want you to know that you are not forgotten. You are not alone. The blankets you are going to receive are a symbol that the community cares for you. And I urge you to use them to stay warm and healthy. This programme is a reminder that even in times of challenge, we stand together as one family."

On behalf of the beneficiaries, Selma Namuhongo commended the councillor for the gesture.

"I am grateful to Councillor Ndengu for what he is doing for us; it shows that he cares for everyone. He has been taking care of us, and we are grateful for what his office is doing to assist the public."
