Erongo Governor Nathalia |Goagoses has said the national census should be seen not only as numbers but as a call to action on complex and developmental issues.
|Goagoses made this statement during the 2023 Erongo Census Region Profile launch at Swakopmund.
The governor said data is a rich and valuable resource that will help Namibians recognise their strengths, address their shortcomings, and seize opportunities to reshape the future they aspire to.
"The transformational data available in the Census report and in the Regional Profile provide the evidence we need to plan better, allocate resources more effectively, and measure our progress with confidence. This repository of data is not just a milestone but a call to action."
She urged all stakeholders to take ownership of this information. "It should and it must guide our planning for future programmes, inform our decisions, and serve as a compass to monitor how far we can go in improving the lives of our people."
The governor reaffirmed the region's commitment to turning the statistics into sustainable development for the communities.
