Otjozondjupa police are calling on the public to help identify a female murder suspect captured on CCTV walking with a male victim minutes before the killing.

Sergeant Thomas Shigwedha, who was stationed at Okakarara, was found last June lying in a pool of blood in bushes near Dr. Nickey Iyambo Street in Grootfontein. He had two stab wounds to the back of his head, and his face had been smashed with a blood-covered stone found next to his body.

CCTV footage from Grootfontein-based GRF cameras shows the suspect, a woman, walking along Okavango Road with Shigwedha shortly before his murder.

A packet of chips she carried and a cool drink held by the victim were later found at the crime scene.

Police believe Grootfontein residents, especially taxi drivers, may have transported the woman and Shigwedha from the Omulunga location.

Anyone with information should contact Detective Chief Inspector Reuter at 081 272 2687.
