A suspect was arrested for attempted robbery and assault at the Mafuta area outside Katima Mulilo. Three other suspects fled the scene.

It is alleged that the four men held Lin Hua and his two employees at gun point and assaulted them inside Lin's shop.

According to a police report, the incident took place just after 17h00 on Thursday. 

The complainant said the suspects knocked on his door under the guise of wanting to ask the price of items and ordered him to unlock the door to allow them entry.

The complainant, however, spotted a police car passing by, leading to the suspects fleeing the scene; however, one of them could not escape. 

As a result, nothing was stolen.

The suspect is expected to appear in court on Monday.
