Leaders from the business sector, faith community, and government gathered in Windhoek over the weekend for the inaugural Deeper Leaders and Business summit.
The event explored cross-sector collaboration and ethical leadership and discussed emerging opportunities in the energy and enterprise development sectors.
The summit presented a platform where traditionally separate sectors came together to offer relevant angles for coverage on leadership.
Held under the theme "Faith, Finance, and the Future", the summit, according to Pastor Clive Willemse, comes at an appropriate time.
"The Lord has spoken to us, and we have to bring a gathering, and we believe the time and the season are now more than ever before; it is now for the church, government and the business community to walk the journey of Namibia together."
|Khomas Governor Sam Nujoma echoed similar sentiments, applauding the organisers of the Deeper Leadership Summit, saying it is a timely intervention for Namibia.
"Namibia stands at a critical juncture of its development journey as outlined in NDP6. Our nation is pursuing ambitious goals of economic development, ethical leadership and collaborative nation-building, and these aspirations cannot be realised in isolation for too long; the faith community, the business sector and government have operated in parallel. This summit represents a deliberate effort to bring these sectors into alignment."
Basing his lecture on the book of Genesis, the founder of the Jabula Now Life Ministries International, Tudor Bismark, said the righteous are not ready to receive wealth because they lack structures, systems, integrity, or the depth of generational wealth.
The one-day summit concluded in the afternoon.
