One hundred entrepreneurs have graduated from the Olafika SME Development and Mentorship Programme.
The one-year training equipped Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) with the skills to grow, create jobs, and strengthen Namibia's economy.
The graduates shared their testimonies and expressed gratitude for the programme.
"It really taught me a lot. This programme was really amazing. I miss all my colleagues and friends. I can't see them. I only see two. But I don't know where the rest are, but it was really a nice experience, and I would love for other people to join as well."
"Another thing I learnt from the programme is about getting closer to God. For as long as you have a business, you must always pray. The first thing you do in the morning is pray, even if you don't get profit that day – just pray."
Graduates completed the one-year training and achieved a level 2 certificate in entrepreneurship.
Olafika SME Development and Mentorship Programme's founder, Twapewa Kadhikwa, states. "The training of the curriculum starts with starting a business, how to be compliant, how to make a business compliant, marketing, finance, operations and growth. So all of these six modules that we go through, the toolkit, run over a six-month period. And then after that, when you finish the coursework, you are then mentored. I am either myself or part of our network. We've got a network of a database of mentors. So some of these entrepreneurs are from different regions. So in those, every region in Namibia, we have a footprint."
The founder of Space Dimension Advertising Agency motivated the graduates to be ready for the entrepreneur's challenges.
"Spark something in the mind and in the heart of the entrepreneur because the entrepreneur is not a normal person. An entrepreneur is the person that is designed to find gaps where there are no gaps. Make a way or there is not a way."
