President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has expressed condolences following the death of Bishop Luke Lungile Pato on Sunday.
Bishop Pato served as the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Namibia from 2016 until his death.
In her condolence message, President Nandi-Ndaitwah described Bishop Pato as a respected spiritual leader who dedicated his life to serving God and humanity. She said his work went beyond the Church, touching the lives of many people and contributing to Namibia’s social and spiritual life.
The President said Namibia lost a faithful shepherd and a source of wisdom whose contribution would be remembered. She extended her condolences to the Pato family, the Anglican Church in Namibia, the St. George’s Diocesan community and everyone who was touched by his ministry.
