Zambezi Regional Governor Dorothy Kabula has called on Namibians to embrace a culture of prayer, peace and love to address challenges facing communities.

Speaking at the National Day of Prayer at Kamunu Hall, Kabula emphasised the need to pray for healing, understanding and wisdom to make the right decisions.

She urged Namibians to support one another and choose peace and love over anger, conflict and division.

Churches from across the region joined the rest of the country in praying for divine intervention against social ills, including violent crime, gender-based violence and road accidents.

The gathering was held under the theme "Seeking Divine Intervention Towards Behavioural Transformation to Save Lives".

Proceedings opened with a spirited performance by the Jericoh Ministry choir, followed by prayers and intercessions by pastors and church leaders for good governance, victims, survivors and affected families.
