Erongo Regional Council Chairperson Lazarus Kanelombe has called for stronger cooperation and accountability within the Council, stressing that collaboration among councillors, management and staff is essential to achieving the region’s strategic priorities.

Speaking at the Erongo Ordinary Regional Council Meeting held at Swakopmund, Kanelombe highlighted persistent challenges including veld fire, unemployment, social vulnerability and skills gaps.

He also announced that a study tour to the National Council had been undertaken to explore measures to improve the Council’s chamber operations. He said the Regional Council must remain open to realistic change while strengthening its links with communities.
