Corporates in Namibia continue to meet the government halfway, with FirstRand Namibia the latest to have injected over a million dollars into securing clinical equipment, including cash, for the University of Namibia's Veterinary Hospital and the institution's on-campus clinic.

Dr Magda |Awases, a trustee at the FirstRand Namibia Foundation, says the Foundation aims to help solve ongoing challenges towards creating a brighter and better future for Namibia.

The state-of-the-art UNAM Veterinary School was inaugurated last month and is a technical training ground for final-year animal doctors.

The on-campus clinic for students also received materials worth over N$100 000.
