Deputy Prime Minister Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah retained her position as the SWAPO Party Vice President after obtaining 491 votes at the just-ended elective congress. She will stand as the Party’s presidential candidate in the 2024 national elections. Should she win the elections, Nandi-Ndaitwah will be Namibia’s first female president.
