Namibia's Minister of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security, Dr. Albert Kawana, launched the 'Visa Upon Arrival" at the Trans-Kalahari Border Post in the Omaheke Region.

Dr. Kawana says that about 47 countries are granted visas upon arrival in Namibia.

Dr. Kawana stated at the launch that such tasks require determination and commitment from immigration officials.

He says that the initiatives will also boost the country's economic aspects as a tourist destination.

On his part, Omaheke Regional Governor Pijoo Nganate applauded this initiative by the Ministry of Immigration.

The governor added that with visas upon arrival being introduced, it should also open other opportunities between countries as communities need development.
