The offices of the Directorate of Veterinary Services at Rundu are flooded with the sewage water.
Administrative Officer Ericah Geingos says the situation is posing a hazard and needs urgent intervention.
Geingos says the situation has been going on since July last year, but the Rundu Town Council has allegedly failed to address it.
They say sewage manholes get filled up and overflow every day due to some blockages in the area.
"It is very unhygienic it is not good to work in such an environment even when we want to use the toilet it is not hygienic even the farmers would want to use the toilet we want assistance."
She says officials from the Town Council visited the site several times in an attempt to rectify the situation but it persisted.
Among others, they say the pet houses and toilets are inaccessible due to the sewer water.
The directorate operates a veterinary clinic and pharmacy, serving farmers in the Kavango East and West regions.
Contacted for comment, Rundu Town Council Acting Chief Executive Officer Sam Nekaro said the responsible department will investigate the possible cause before he can comment.
