A subtle Twitter war is brewing between activist Michael Amushelelo and AR frontman, Job Amupanda.

Amushelelo has called out Dr. Amupanda, who in 2019 took a swipe at the Windhoek municipality leadership for subjecting its cleaners to working without permanent contracts and with no medical aid or pension.

Amupanda tweeted his concerns before he ascended to the mayoral chair.

The NEFF Commissar, who now leads a protest by the Windhoek Municipality cleaners, is accusing Amupanda of having used the cleaners’ plight to expedite his political career.

He further accused the former mayor of remaining quiet after joining the political leadership in the council chambers.

Amupanda, in his response to Amushelelo, tweeted that "Those workers would’ve lost their jobs by now. There are specific resolutions and steps that we have taken."
