Zambia deports 48 Ethiopians, convicts 19

The Department of Immigration in Zambia has deported 48 Ethiopian nationals, while 19 have been convicted.

Among those deported are 39 Ethiopian nationals who were apprehended on 23rd November last year in Kapiri Mposhi District after being discovered concealed in a fuel tanker.

The memorial service for veteran journalist and former Swapo Party Regional Councillor Erasmus Captain Hendjala will be held on Friday, 9 January, at Oinyikanyika-Olupandu in the Omusati Region.

Hendjala died in Ongwediva on January 2 at the age of 78.
