The Ministry of Health and Social Services held a memorial service for the three staff members who died in a car accident on 1 May while on official duty.

Member of Parliament, James Uerikua has died.

Uerikua died this afternoon in a car accident on the road between Otjiwarongo and Okakarara.

Police confirmed the death of the former governor of Otjozomdjupa Uerikua.

The Otjozondjupa Police have confirmed, following forensic tests, that three of the five people who died in a car accident last month were indeed the Tsaraxa-Aibes Primary School teachers.

Their deaths have left the school and the wider community in mourning.

The driver of a Mazda drove into a house in the Chotto compound in Katima Mulilo.

The driver, who was taken into police custody, was tested at the scene, and his alcohol level was found to be over the limit.

The investigations into the head-on collision involving the Inspector General of the Namibian Police Force in which three people died, are still ongoing.
